Our lectures are held in the Princess Pavilion which provides an excellent environment for presenting illustrated lectures. Coffee is available from 9.45am for the lecture at 10.30am. Lecture facilities include tiered seating, raised projection screen and loop induction system for those with hearing difficulties.
Tea and coffees are available before the lecture and the fully licensed bar is open for refreshments afterwards. Members often stay and take lunch; an opportunity to carry on discussion of the topics covered or just catch up with friends.
Disabled member facilities
The Princess Pavilion and Gyllyngdune Gardens have ramped wheelchair access from the Car Park and main entrance into the theatre and gardens. There are disabled toilet facilities in the bar and gardens. Wheelchair users can enjoy the whole of the top end of the gardens but please note that there is a stepped path down to the seafront (Cliff Road). There is also a wheelchair for members' use.
Access and parking
We ask that the car parking spaces at the front of the Pavilion be reserved for disabled members. The nearest public car parks are shown on the map (P). There is plenty of parking along Emslie Road and other sideroads. From Cliff Road, there is a delightful short walk of a few minutes from the seafront past the monolithic arch and secret grotto through the rose garden which brings you to Gyllyngdune gardens and the Pavilion.
